certification process

Once a facility or plant has requested certification services, each production run will be certified according to the following process:

IHFP has inspectors/officers on site at the facility or plant at all times of operation.
Services rendered and logs sheets completed and signed.
At times of export, FSIS documents (Health Certificate) are presented to IHFP.
Production dates are verified with log sheets.
A numbered Halal certificate is issued for that specific FSIS document (Health Certificate) and production dates.
Copies of FSIS document (Health Certificate) and the completed Halal Certificate are kept for records
